    The Cowher-to-KC rumor that I heard earlier today has me wondering. This may be a premature question, but we all get the fact that Vermiel doesn't have many years left to be a head coach in the NFL. Does Carl Peterson have any plans in place for when Vermiel finally calls it quits on his great career? Are there any coaches that the Chiefs would likely promote from within to take over? Next season could be it for him.

    I think Carl Peterson has pretty much promised Al Saunders (O-Coordinator) the job when Dicky V. calls it quits. That was the factor that made Saunders stay put rather than joining the Raiders this year.
