Well, so many records and career highs broken tonight, I'm very very happy for Kobe and the Lakers.

To begin with, Kobe has become the youngest/fastest player to score 15,000 career points, at age 27 and in only 136 DAYS! Jordan did it in 326 DAYS!

What an amazing achievement, and to think, this man was under Shaquille Oneal's shadow for so long, who knows what he would be at if he was in the same situation Iverson has been in his whole career.

His 7/7 and Smush's 5/5 at the 3pt line was pretty frickin amazing.....it got to the point where I felt(and I'm sure everyone else) that whatever Kobe threw up, it was going straight down.

Kobe is now the NBA Scoring Leader!!!

I don't care if it's only for the next couple days, I'm very glad to see that.

    1. Kobe Bryant - 33.16
    2. Allen Iverson - 33.09

    just barely! haha

And, my boy Smush had a career high tonight. He was on point tonight, esp in that 1st quarter, and this was the Smush I remember from the 3rd regular season Nugget game I went to in Staples Center, and I hope we can continue to expect this kind of performance.

3rd, Lakers set new half time and final score highs tonight. 67 for the half, and 119 for the final score. Offensively, they played amazingly, despite the numerous turn-overs and having only 3 players in double digits.

4th, Lamar Odom set a new career high with 12 ASSISTS! nice work Lamar, as long as other people are drilling their shots, keep dishin' em. If not, we need you to score! nice job.

We've finally ended our ATROCIOUS 5-game losing streak, but I loved how Kobe put it, "What losing streak?" That's right my man, stay positive.

Alright I'm done now, it's 3 am and I can't sleep, so what did you guys think of the game?

I think this proves Kobe's the MVP.

I know they had lost 3 straight before he got suspended, but the second he comes back he sticks it to the opposing team in mythical fashion with 48 points, against a defender who had hounded him earlier this season. The Lakers also won by a wide margin and had one of their best games of the season.

These are the kind of games that make people realize how good Kobe is

"Good" is an understatement =) but I know what you mean.

It's funny, my brother knows how big of a fan I am of Kobe, and he goes "Why do you love Kobe so much?" And sometimes I watch the game with my bro, who's 25 years old, I'm 20, he's a Kobe hater, and it really gets under my skin. But he's a Laker fan.

He says Kobe's the most hated in the league, and if he wasn't playing for the LA Lakers, he'd be even more hated.

Anyways, my point was that he was like "wow", "amazing" everytime Kobe did what he does best, so ilive4ball, I agree, games like these makes believers out of Kobe haters.

So far this season the Lakers and Kobe have been up and down. Sure, he has done a few pretty good thing, but some bad things too. To say that he's the MVP now with half a season to go is not to my liking, with other great players playing well, in teams that are more consitent. The Lakers are not consisten. They have a few good games, and everybody starts cheering and saying that the team is great, but then they start loosing and everyone is saying that changes need to be made immediatly. The Lakers barely have a playoff spot as it is right now, and for them to even get past the first round will be a great challenge, probably impossible I would say if they get the 8th or 7th seed.

You're absolutely right Bahir, consistency has been the problem for the Lakers. They win 5 straight, only to lose 5 straight, so you just never know which team is going to show up. The only consistent player is Kobe Bryant and even though the Lakers won last night I still think changes need to be made to bring more consistent players aboard. We have the youngest team in the league, and we lack those savy veterans to give the team quality minutes. The only player we have is George, but he's the epitome of inconsistency.

Nice breakdown on the records made last night. I was very impressed with the rebounding last night as well. They neutralized Dalembert on the boards, he just came off a 22 rebound performance and was on a tear. The Lakers outrebounded Philly 48-33 on the glass last night and the defense didn't allow any other player to step up and help Iverson out.

A lot of positives to draw from this game, and I hope the Lakers can get on another win streak. Their goal should be winning 2 out 3 games the rest of the way.
