With football over with , hockey on a break and little interest in a terrible Knicks team there's just nothing going on sports wise right now. I've looking forward to see how the final question marks work themselves out in the spring. It was good to see the Tanaka press conference. I think he's the real deal and is going to take this city by storm. I also read in the post today that Pineda says he finally feels healthy and is ready and really wants to pitch. We shall see but as we have learned you can never have too many arms. I'm not too worried about the offense when I compare it to some of the absolute joke lineups they were throwing out there last year.
I think they will be better for sure. The only thing that helped their brutal offense last year was Soriano coming in and putting up an off the charts offensive run. That should be better and the starting pitching should be better. The issue in the bullpen is of course no longer being able to count on Rivera. I really hope Robertson can embrace that spot or else they will be looking for a veteran closer.
...I think whoever takes Mo's spot will be OK...Mo had his share of hiccups last year and by no means automatic...I'd be surprised if whoever closes this year blows 7 saves.
I agree my friend I'm really looking forward to this upcoming season. And yeah with no more football and Hockey on hold (well there's always boxing since its basically the same thing only on skates) I'm real curious to see what the Yankees can do this season. Shamefully I have to admit that last season I missed more games (by choice) then I have since the early 90s. My prediction 95+ wins & the division.
