Tells Nashville to get lost. We've seen this before where guys are rumored to want to play for their favorite teams growing up and somehow sign with the Rangers. I'm not sure but I think Vesey and J.T. Miller had great chemistry together at the WJC's. I know he grew up in Boston but the Bruins are not an attractive team for UFA's. They have this thickheaded notion that you have to been tough to be a Bruin which is why those morons gave up Seguin.

I think the Rangers have an excellent shot at this player if they go all in for him. Haven't seen him play. Just reading the reports on him. Considering how many picks the dumbasses have traded, it wouldn't be the worst thing if they ended up with him.

His skating is average though according to scouting reports and his defense is inconsistent. Sounds like another Hayes which makes me think the Rangers will pass. I think they will try to get much, much, faster and tougher next year. Tougher as far as guys being hard to play against. Fogarty's skating is not considered strong. Nieves who I don't like is a guy who has great speed. So, I am thinking the Rangers are going to give Nieves and Buchnevich a chance next season because of their skating. D. Moore is gone. Stalberg won't be brought back. I think Lindberg takes the 4th line spot. Hrvik to me has shown he can be a 4th line wing for us.

I hope I'm wrong on Nieves. He's had a good start for the Pack with 6 points in 4 games. Didn't seem very motivated in college. Maybe he finally got a clue.

His dad is a scout for Toronto I believe. Rumors he ends up there.

Means nothing. Toronto for all it is cracked up to be is a horrible draw for free agents. Players don't want to go there. It's expensive to live there and you are constantly under the microscope with the insane media there. Much worse than NY. To me with Nylander and Marner as future franchise centers I would be very interested in going there as a wing. Plus their coach is great. However, their goaltending situation blows and so does their defense.

History shows that Toronto is a place the media always talks about free agents going but players pretty much never, ever, go there.

I don't know. Toronto has a lot of cap space and good young players. I bet they go all in for Stamkos as well. Especially if I was a Canadian I think Toronto would be a big draw.

We'll see how it all goes, but I do think Toronto will be a player for some big names this summer.

Free agent college players from CT and MA that the Rangers want, they seem to get. Hayes. Haggerty. I also think Kreider was a big draw for Hayes. Now you have Hayes and Kreider for Vesey to talk to. Plus he's a Harvard guy. D. Moore went there. However, I don't really see the Rangers having much interest.

I hear you there. Hayes and the dmen (G and Staal) will be the big decisions this summer. Once those things are settled we'll have an idea of direction.

And of course how we do in the playoffs will play a big role in what we do this summer. Staal is going to have a big role early especially with McD out for a couple of games. If we play the Pens he'll draw Crosby.

I don't think McDonagh will come back until at least the 3rd round. He can't play with that and it takes at least 4 weeks to heal that break in the hand.

Yeah i heard he's likely to Toronto also due to his father but i'm sure the Rangers are interested. Seems like a very good player.

I heard Hayes was a lock for Boston, Toronto and a few other places. He ended up in NY.

I think Hayes was down to just NY and Boston but Kreider helped alot with the college friendship. Vesey isn't tied to anyone here and his father being in Toronto plus them having cap space like Chuckles said makes them likely i'd think. Never know but i'd guess we're 3rd or 4th on his list.

A U.S. kid probably isn't going to want to live in Canada. Who gives a crap if his dad is a scout for the Leafs.
