There's been quite a bit of speculation on Michael Vick this offseason. Earlier talk focused on whether the Philadelphia Eagles would release the QB following his latest brush with the criminal justice system -- it appears that this won't happen as of right now -- however, now that we're getting close to the start of training camp, the conversation has shifted to what kind of role Vick will play for the team this season. Eagles offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg foresees big things. "I would expect him to be an even bigger influence on our offense and our football team this year," Mornhinweg said Thursday, per the Los Angeles Times. "He has a year under his belt. He knows our expectations. He's in great shape physically. So I would expect great things from Michael Vick this year. He's going to be on the field." This flies in the face of speculation that the Eagles would use less of Vick this season because they needed him to function as the No. 2 behind Kevin Kolb. Then again, what an offensive coordinator says on July 22 and what actually happens on the field in September can be two very disparate things. - Tim Kavanagh
