I think it really shows that he’s growing and evolving and he’s really stepping into the new age.” Says DE Brian Robison of Allen’s influence, “Every day I learn something new from him.“ Two years after catching on as an undrafted free agent, DE Jayme Mitchell is still disappointed he wasn’t drafted. DT Pat Williams describes his surgically repaired elbow as day to day. Vikings owner Zygi Wilf fielded punts before practice. Asked how many yards he expects to rush for this season, Adrian Peterson said, “I don’t know. Whatever it takes to help my team win the division title and get to that Super Bowl.” DE Ray Edwards is on the physically unable to perform list but says his back ailment is no big deal. QB Tarvaris Jackson says he’s watching NFL Network but he’s not concerned about talk that Brett Favre could be taking his job.
