Something has to be done about this Defense. Ever hear the saying Defense wins championships? Of which the vikings have none. How long can they really keep up with this pace? They can't score 30+ pts every game and get 450+ yards. They have to do something, or else this season is going to be a repeat of last year.

The only hope I have, personally, is they seem to show up when it absolutely matters. Against Houston they forced a 3 and out in OT.

I am really sick of our pass defense. They have got to figure out a way to be more aggressive. I personally don't care if they give up the occassional big play...just stop allowing these 8-10 yard passing gains every single play!

D is not good enough to win in the playoffs. they will lose in second round in all likelyhood. However, if they get bye, a upset happens in first round so they get a weaker opponent and then meet eagles in NFC title then they are assured of trip to super bowl since Mcnabb will surely choke. Since anyone can win on any given sunday it is very possible the vikings could get lucky and ACTUALLY WIN A SUPER BOWL. That said, it isnt going to happen.

This is all assuming their defense stays the same...Tice has said that they will be trying new schemes on defense. Namely, they will be backing off zone coverages and playing more man to man coverages to see if that helps our horrible pass coverage.

I doubt you can believe what Tice is saying. He learned his lesson the first year about saying what you are actually doing. The randy ratio blew up in his face, so he is not going to give away his plan anymore.

Sure, everyone knows that the Rady Ratio was a stupid mistake by Tice, but that doesn't mean that he isn't giving out real information as far as what the defense is doing. He didn't say that they would be abandoning zone coverage, just focusing more on man to man. That's nothing big...watching video will tell you that.

Holy Crap! Where did that 20-3 victory come from? I know that the Vikes were going against a 2nd string QB, but he's still a good QB. I never thought I would see the day where we held an opponent to 3 points.

If we get a shutout this year I'll know the devil is wearning a thick parka this winter.
