Minnesota Vikings offensive lineman DeMarcus Love has been suspended for the first four games of the 2013 season after violating the NFL policy on performance-enhancing substances the league announced on Thursday. Love has been with the Vikings since 2011 when Minnesota drafted him in the sixth round. However Love has yet to play in a regular season game with the team. The 25-year-old offensive lineman was inactive for all 16 games in 2011 and spent the 2012 season on injured reserve after suffering a pectoral injury. In a text to CBSSports.com's Jeremy Fowler Love's agent Thomas Simms said that Love took an over-the-counter sleep aid from GNC that contained a banned compound. Love appealed the NFL's decision but lost. "Demarcus deeply regrets this incident. He looks forward to resuming his playing career for the Vikings organization and contributing to the 2013 football season" Simms said. If Love makes the Vikings roster he'll be eligible to play in all preseason games with and practice with the team until the preseason's over. - See more at: http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/blog/e...-ol-demarcus-love-suspended-for-ped-violation
