What do you think are they keys to the game ? Any predictions.. ?

Personally i think our secondary needs to step up and make some plays.. maybe a fumble or interception would be nice. We need to pressure Jake as much as possible and force some bad throws. Stop SS if he plays.

If the panthers were to start the season 0-2 I'd be shocked. Even though I wasn't one of the "experts" to pick them to go to Miami. However if Steve Smith isn't able to go it's quite possible.

Under the assumption that he will play & that the defense can't possibly look that bad 2 weeks in a row I'm picking the Panthers 20-17

We will have Dwight Smith back, which is really important to that secondary. I think we looked good against the run up the middle against Washington, Portis really was a non-factor. I also think that the O-Line of the Panthers is no where near the line of the Skins, so we should be able to put more pressure on the QB.

Defensively Carolina showed a tendency to overpursue. I'm not so sure they'll have that problem with Taylor as much as they did against Dunn. Look for Mewelde Moore to get a few more carries.

I'm predicting the Vikings roll, win 24 - 13. Look for Tomlin to get that defense to not bend so much.

Steve smith plays and is 100% panthers win. Otherwise vikes win. Steve smith is the whole team, if he dont play, they dont win

I'm not even sure if they win if he plays. This is a different defense and a different coaching staff that won't trust Smoot when he says he can cover Smith on his own.

Expect them to run two players at Smith all game long.

I give the Vikes a good shot. Deshaun Foster is built like a toothpick so if the Vikings don't let him get outside he sure ain't gaining yards up the middle against the Williams boys. I do have a hard time seeing the Cats going o-2 and I think the Vikings will have a hard time putting up any points

But they put up points against a very good Redskins defense...would you really consider the Panthers to have a better defense?

Any Vikings fans wanna bet avatars for a week?

I think Panthers will win because last week half the defense was going one way and half going the other. With Brad Johnson staying in the pocket this week panthers will be able to do what they want on Defense. Panthers players know they got run over and they now they are better than last week, so they will come up hard.

Dan Morgan is out for the game, so Chris Draft will likely start at MLB is Na'll Diggs is healthy.

I would bet, but I'm not doing avatar bets for a while...creates too much confusion IMO.

Smith 's presence wold have a major influence on the Panther's offense. Also with Hartig questionable, that too could be a factor.
The fact that it is at Minnesota is a plus for the Vikes.
Still, I believe that it could go either way.
Should be interesting as my son and I are going to the game. He has been a huge Panther's fan since the beginning. One of us will have a long ride home [IMG]

The only thing im really really worried about is the vikings d-line. The panthers offensive line is getting really shook up because gross is likely going to be moved from RT to LT, and Geoff Hangatner is probly going to start at C, and our RG is up in the air with Mathis being pulled in the 2nd half last game. The only guy staying the same is mike wahle.

The vikings have two really good DTs in Kevin and Pat Williams. Whoever goes against Kevin Williams is going to have a long day because kevin can get up the field fast for a DT.

Don't underestimate our DE's either. They are both looking to have breakout years and were all over QB's in the preseason.

I have heard a lot about injuries from the Panthers. This alone could help the Vikings pull out the win.

Bold. Any Wide Receiver that could be considered "the whole team" makes no sense. As good as Jerry Rice was, he was never "the whole team". Ludicrous.
