Since I am not going to the game, and can't find anybody that has Raptors TV, I would like to know any spectacular dunk/plays and thoughts on the game. Damn, I am missing out ...big time.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting MaxaMillion711:</div><div class="quote_post">AHHHH! Im in the US. Can I still see it???</div> Don't think you can. It's not even on Raptors TV this year.
It's not even on Raptors TV this year? damn. I shoulda got tickets. I'll make it a point to get tickets next year. Just like McGrady^1, I would like a report of what happened. ANy guest apperances, celebrities? maybe surprise players? Thanks in Advance.
Its on raptors NBA TV, I got NBA TV.. But all the games or big events in bball have been delayed an hour or two because of the janet jackson super bowl incident so they have to play the game after its done to edit out anything of that sort from what I've heard. But after I watch it I'll post in this thread.
I dont knoe about this but if anyone videotaped the game or even taped it from raptors tv, could you post for download somewhere. I doubt u can post it in here. But perhaps somewhere else. that would be really great
its not on tv....did anyone one go...i heard the half time show is crazy....glenn lewis, keshia chante, in essence.... and shommand williams!
I'll start off by saying Jason Richardson wasn't in the charity game. I thought it didn't matter because I thought Vince would be a dunking machine, but two others were the spotlight. The game would of been way better with Richardson. The Vince Carter Charity Game was really weak. Vince did a total of THREE dunks, all of which were plain and simple. He did a Reverse Two-Handed Dunk Off An Alleyoop, and I forgot the other ones since they sucked so bad. He also did tons of layups. Rafer Alston did sick crossovers. Some dude name Aguala from the 'Sixers did windmills, and fierce tomahawks and Dante Jones did the same thing too. Jalen Rose was too boring. Shammon Williams did nothing but dance with the dance pak. Magloire did some crazy awkward 1 handed dunks. That's about it for the players. Lennox Lewis and Cabbie were at the game too, and Lewis didn't do crap. There was some 4 year old kid who was being showcased during a timeout, and he was doing crazy crossovers and he even made a shot from the paint, and everybody was going crazy. During another time out, Vince was encouraging Lewis to come out and dance, but he didn't, and neither did Vince. My mom bought me crap batteries and therefore I had to take mini video clips and take only a few pictures, but I also took crap pictures, and I sometimes missed taking a good picture of a dunk or something spectacular because it was the first time I ever snapped. I'm not Peter Parker you know. When the event ended, Vince was on the mic and he was talking about how "this wouldn't of happened without you Raptor fans, I love Toronto" blablabla and doesn't talk about the trade rumour. Excuse the date on the picture because it's wrong. I'll post more pictures tomorrow because I desperately have to rest right now.
chungster basically covered it.. jones and igoudala had the sickest dunks and skip was amazing.. did his infamous skip a ton of times n faked the other players out wenever he could which was really rarely cuz ther was no d being played.. mopete had a nice stickback jam in the first half and vince was hardly entertaining to watch tonite.. the second half EVERYONE kept shooting.. it just got so stupid n boring.. as for surprise players.. jerry stackhouse showed up n thats about it.. stromile swift was injured but came to the game anyway.. robert tractor traylor hit about 10 3s in the game.. that was pretty jokes..
I have seen that kid. he went to a youth camp about 2 weeks ago and I was there. he will be a great baller handler but the coaches pampered him too much. I think he is related to jamaal magloire
kid's name is little terrel.. the announcer said he performs in arenas all over the league n yea hes gona be one sick ball handler wen he grows up
When I heard the show wasnt sold out, I decided to go down with a couple of my buddies. I thought it was a good show, not quite as good as last years though, but it was still fun. Igoudala completely stole the show, he did amazing dunks all night, and brought tons of energy to the game. Hes going to be a special player. Dahntay Jones also did some sick dunks. There were some good dunks all throughout the game, nothing Slam Dunk Competition like, but definately some sick ones. It was funny seeing Magloire do the same jam over and over again, LOL.. but he did do one dunk that wasnt like every other. Robert Traylor seems to be a huge fan favourite in Toronto. I think the Raps should bring him in at the minimum, he'd be a good force inside, and help ease the load off Aroujo. He seems to be someone like JYD was to the fans, but hes obviously not the player JYD was.. BTW, why wasnt JYD at the game? Horrible. Anyways, Skip To my Lou was awesome, Rose and Carter pretty much sat back and shot threes all nite, Carter shot so many that I think he had the most points, or maybe he was tied with Igoudala. Mo Pete was funny with his dancing, and he got a great ovasion from the crowd when Vince said "you know we got Mo Pete back right?", then he proceeded to dance. The Little Terrell kid easilly got the biggest ovasion of the night though, everyone was loving the little kid who actually had some amazing ball handling skills for a 4 year old. Vince lifted it up and he threw it down hard. Other notables: - Brendan Haywood was ballhogging HARD the first half. - It was hillarious to see In Essence sitting in the 2nd row.. not even the first row.. NOT performing at Half Time.. or the National Anthem.. but the funniest thing was the two girls that were try to mack on them, and they gave out their phone numbers and everything, then they left for like half the game, and came back with drinks, food, and beer for In Essence, who seemed to be quite suprised. These girls REALLY tried too hard. I could see the whole thing from my seats in the 300's, which were 20 bucks. - Tractor Traylor is a better three point shooter than I thought. - Guys like Jamison, Kenny Thomas, Chucky Atkins and Shammond Williams were just there for the sake of being there, they did nothing in the game. - Where was Chris Bosh? Where was Jason Richardson? Where was everyone.. wtf, the stole was completely stolen by a rookie in Igoudala, a second year player who logs no minutes in Dahntay Jones, Rafer Alston and Robert Traylor.. with a few nice dunks here and there by Mo Pete, Vince Carter, and Jerry Stackhouse. I guess the charity games are somewhere for the unproven players to get a little press. - And most important.. why didnt Vince talk about the trade rumors.. and say that he wants to stay in Toronto, something reassuring.. that didnt set too well with me, I thought for sure he would say something.
