What do you think about getting our draft pick back. Or is he too injury prone to have around so you don't make the trade? I would still love to see him join the dunk contest. And speaking of dunk contest, do you think LeBron has any chance against J-Rich, man I would have loved to see Jrich finished that dunk that he tried 3 times in the contest, it still wasn't fair, the only reason the other guy won was because he was shorter and had hops to do one handed arcs. Back to Vince, would he be worth it?
J-Rich AND Peitrus? No way... I still want to give J-rich another year and we cpould have a future star in Peitrus..No way this trade will ever happen
No, I don't think so. He's a good player, but we already have a guy like that in Jrich. I don't really see the point. Plus it's all about the contracts matching. You can't make a trade unless the contracts match. Jrich + Pietrus don't even equal VC's contract. And that's just a lot to give up. You never want to give up depth and your team's captain, best player unless its for a player that truly makes a difference. V.C. just won't make that much of a difference IMO. He's kind of a bit overrated too. I've watched a few highlights of Jrich and V.C. and Jrich is becoming basically becoming Vince Carter (the difference is that when V.C. chooses to drive more and get fouled, he makes his free throws). Jrich I think can put up similar numbers if he doesn't leave points at the line and he works on a consistent perimeter shot. But that trade suggestion just takes away so much talent for one player. So No way.
Pietrus and JRich for Vince Carter? Interesting... btw- Vince Carter cant be in the dunk contest. If I remember correctly, only players in their first 3 years in the League are elligible for the contest.
Jrich and Cliffy/NVE, I would do it. Maybe even throw in Speedy. I like VC, but I love Jrich. Plus, people question VC's toughness and desire. I dont need that. Show me your heart, and I will show you love.

Didn't Ricky Davis on the contest last season? Anyway, while I am more open to getting Carter than other people, no way I would make that deal. Besides, the way Mullin is constructing the team, I don't see them even trying to get Carter...
No chance in hell. VC is too injury prone. Not the same VC of old anyways. I think J-Rich is one of the most exciting players to watch period. Man that game in which the Warriors lost to the Blazers when J-Rich went off on Ratliff and a few more times. That was some exciting sh..t.
Yeah it was pretty awesome because Jrich had two in your face dunks over a big man. I downloaded those highlights btw. I wouldn't do the V.C. trade personally, but Walk would probably say differently since V.C. is a superstar scorer when healthy.
Ok, I'm convinced, I get too worried about that knee of carters and we would lose who I think can be a one man wrecking crew in petrius
I wouldn't trade both JRich and Pietrus in that deal. I would try one of those two and maybe Speedy or Dunleavy or Cliff for Vince, but not both JRich and Pietrus. And maybe coming back to Oakland where he had that amazing dunk competition will bring back some good vibes...Yeah being a little optimistic maybe...But Vince is good if he's healthy. However being pessimistic, the Warriors always get injured(even in summer leagues now) so maybe it wouldn't be a good fit. But I'd love to see a healthy Vince Carter in Oakland in a warriors uniform.
Vince has the full package in a shooting guard except maybe defense. I like him, but the shooting guard spot isn't the biggest need. It's always been a matter of making good cuts, isolating defenders off the big man, running offensive plays that the other team can't respond to well (over and over until the other team's coach is forced ot make an adjustment), recognizing the mismatch/isolation when the defense doesn't rotate well, and playing good team communication on the other end of the floor. If Vince does all these things well within the team, I'd trade for him. If it were for Pietrus I definitely would. Jrich/V.C. combo would be deadly as hell putting the other team way over the limit early in the game. Defense... well that's another story... They aren't bad defenders, but they also aren't good. Plus with the new coach involved we are definitely going to need a lot of cerebral players. I hope Jrich and V.C. are those guys. I don't know how much they understand and recognize different plays.
I would only trade for Carter if Mullin wanted to trade for Carter. The two things about him that concern me are his knees and his heart. But if he passes medical inspection and Mullin believes he's capable of working hard, I'd be all for a trade. In talking to the Toronto guys, they'd do a Damp, Claxston, and either Pietrus or Richardson for Carter and something else, like a future pick. I would have wanted Araujo, but he can't be traded now that he's signed with the Raptors.

There's nothing really left to develop, but the main concern is defense and ability to stay out of foul trouble. You just don't want that from your bench, you know? But then again I shouldn't be talking because I wanted Joel Pryzbilla and he plays hard the same way. And Jrich for V.C. wouldn't be that bad even though I love Jrich's scoring. Pietrus would be just asking too much because he's such a rare player that has so much defensive upside. How many guys can stay in front of point guards and play physical like that? He's like Bruce Bowen with wheels. Anyway, yeah V.C. I could tolerate because he's the complete package in a shooting guard if you're not counting on him being an above average defender. (he does get a few steals and blocks though, but has to make the effort to stay in front of his man, to respond to help defense, to rotate quicker, and communicate with his team on man to man switches)
