With Vinnie Testaverde getting hurt against the Falcons and Bollinger coming in and playing decent, do you think Vinnie's days as a starter are finally numbered? Personally, I think they should have gone with (and stayed with) Bollinger as soon as Pennington went down. But hey...what do I know? (Heh heh...Bollinger had better stats and a better QB rating than Vick last night.)
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Pack Attack)</div><div class='quotemain'>Bollinger had better stats and a better QB rating than Vick last night.)</div> Does thst surprise anyone? Who will the jets call next Ken O'Brien, Boomer Esiason, Joe Namath??
Vinny is nursuing that achilles injury. I really think they should bring in a free agent. Quincy Carter know the part of the jets system, so why not give him a shot. He may actually do good. The Jets need a security policy, and i think Vinnie is just getting to old
Quincy Carter filed for retirement in September so he can't be signed unless he goes throught he long and dreadful procedure of being reinstated.
Deion Sanders was retired and he came back, so i think if Jets want Carter bad enough they will find a way for him to come back
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (panthersare#1)</div><div class='quotemain'>Deion Sanders was retired and he came back, so i think if Jets want Carter bad enough they will find a way for him to come back</div> Deion Sanders was able to come back in the off season. Not while the season was going on. From what Chris Mortenson reported to a Sportscenter broadcasted back when this injury occurred to Chad, Quincy filed for retirement and if he were to want to get out of retirement it would be a long and dreadful process. Check that: Quincy would have the process of learning a whole new offense anyways. He's familar with the coach and players but the Jets hired a new offensive coordinator this season anyways.

I think this season is it.
Maybe he'll get traded a couple of times until no one wants him and then he'll retire. That was the case for Jerry Rice.
He has been traded a couple of times. Stick with Bollinger! Hey Dolfdale, I told you Quincy Carter was a legend!!
The two times that Bollinger played lost (to the Ravens and Falcons) so he is not going to have an impact on the team good or bad.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Wannab Favre)</div><div class='quotemain'>He has been traded a couple of times.</div> I think the real debate is if Vinny is going to be a backup or not. Not to retire (he won't). If the Jets do release him some (other) crappy team will get him as a backup at least.
THey never even gave brooks bollinger a chance. Against the Ravens they handed the ball off like 75% of the time. for god's sake Herm, you are a terrible team right now! Give the kid the ball!!
i agree give Bollinger the ball let him make plays whats the risk? we are most proabably gonna lose anyway, as for the QB competition i've heard rumors that the Jets might want to trade for backup Falcons QB Matt Schaub and hes pretty damn good. ALso of course the possiblity of one of the great college Qbs coming out... Lienart, Young and even Brady Quinn was mentioned
