There is some Blazer action mixed in.

I thought this was already happening. Isn't Craig Hodges controlling Meyers?

I saw this yesterday and thought it was a fascinating glimpse into what could very well be the future of how fans watch the NBA.

The whole idea begs a few interesting questions.

Why pay thousands for court side seats if you can essentially sit court side with VR?

How close to the real thing would VR have to be before people would stop paying to go to the games?

Could VR ever get to a point where in some situations it transcends the live experience? Is it possible to simulate all the emotions and senses which fans in the arena experience during the game? For instance if you had a choice of $15 for 300 level or $15 for a VR "court side" experience, would court side VR be the more popular choice?

Would the league ever be willing to invest and promote this knowing they could potentially stand to lose money down the road?

If they were to implement this would it be a team by team decision, or a league wide decision?

Could a team actually increase their profits by setting up this technology and charging extra for it? Would there be any reason to purchase a VR pass for a season along with paying for how we currently view the game, or would it make sense to only purchase one or the other?

Yet another way for Sly to stare at the Blazer Dancers.... and this time from the comfort of his own doghouse!
