Nov 2 - Danny Ferry said swingman Sasha Pavlovic's last few days are reminiscent of a scene in the John Candy/Steve Martin movie, "Planes, Trains and Automobiles."

Many expected Pavlovic, who signed a three-year, $12 million deal on Wednesday, to be at practice on Thursday at Cleveland Clinic Courts. However, he wasn't even in the state.

"He had to go to Buffalo for a visa," Ferry said. "Then he had to go to Canada to get a visa to come back here. His appointment in Toronto with the consulate is the first thing (this) morning. He can't play until he has all of that stuff. We look forward to having him back." -- Willoughby News-Herald

[*]According to a league source, Pavlovic will make $4.2 million this season and $4.5 million next season. The third season is worth $4.95 million, but only $1.5 million of it is guaranteed. So the total value is about $13.7 million, with about $10.4 million guaranteed. -- Akron Beacon-Journal
