Vizquel already in shape enough to steal base

    "The White Sox have stolen five bases this spring, and one belongs to 43-year-old Omar Vizquel, who stole 11 last season.

    So how does he do it after just a week in camp, when younger players still are trying to get the winter kinks out of their legs?

    "It doesn't matter if you're a natural (athlete) or not," he said. "Your body biologically changes. Your elasticity is not the same, your flexibility is not the same. So you really have to stay on top of that to maintain that condition.

    "lf you sit on the couch and watch movies all winter and come to spring training and expect to play baseball, it's not going to be a good thing for you. … Whatever it takes to get your heart going. Play basketball or soccer or whatever.""
