In other boxing results on the card, former super middleweight contender Maxim Vlasov (37-2, 19 KOs) showed that he’s a force to be reckoned with in the cruiserweight division by halting former 2008 Olympic gold medalist and current #11 WBO, #12 IBF cruiserweight contender Rakhim Chakhkiev (26-3, 19 KOs) in the 7th round to capture the vacant WBA International cruiserweight title. Both fighters were down in the fight. Chakhkiev, 33, was knocked down five times in the fight. Three of the knockdowns came in round 5, one in round 6 and the last in the 7th.
