there are some problems with the argument....1st, Russell has more errors behind the plate than the other 2 combined....2nd, both other guys have doubled his HR totals and both have atleast 33% more RBIs....Martin does lead both in batting average, but hes way behind in other areas....

after seeing the numbers, Molina might be the best catcher in the NL right now....he has the best avg, tied for RBI lead , tied for highest fielding % among the top 4 on the list
even with the slugging % what it is, i could totally get behind this campaign just based on the on base %, becasue i believe you win with a catcher that gets on base and is excellent behind the plate, but he has 5 errors already, while none of the other 3 guys even has a third one....if he had one more, hed have as many as the other three combined....
http://atlanta.braves.mlb.com/news/article...sp&c_id=atl As of 2 days ago, Soto was leading with McCann coming in at a not even close 2nd. Followed by Molina, 3rd...and Martin, 5th.
NL catching has scary depth, just have to show love to the best Dodger player Russ, a year ago you could of made a case for him being the best catcher. But this year he got off to a very slow start. Towles and Yadier Molina in front of Russ? wtf?
all teams have to be rep'd, so he very well might make that team....I dont want Soto to play in that game, i want him to rest, the Cubs will need him down the stretch

Jeter's been pretty mediocre this year, and terrible at SS. It's a pain to watch balls go up the middle, or see errant throws that require Giambi to jump off the bag. If Martin was in either of the lineups, his average would be around .333, and his RBIs would be around 35, at least.
And while you're at it, vote for Joe Mauer in the AL and get Varitek out of first. Awful year. Or just vote for someone other than Varitek.
