<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">MIAMI -- There he was. The guy we know. The guy the Heat needed. The guy we weren't sure we would see, though we suppose we should have known. Yes, the real Dwyane Wade had come back in a Flash. A 15-foot turnaround. A driving, floating bank shot. A couple of free throws. A hesitation dribble, and another bank. A 13-foot floater. Another layup. So there it was. The game. The Eastern Conference title. The date with San Antonio. The shot at a championship. And you believed it then. You sure did. You believed anything. It was 60-60. Wade had just scored 12 points in eight minutes. He was doing it. He sure was. He was stealing this game, this series, this season. Now he was destined to give South Florida a finish for the NBA ages. "He hurt us, didn't he?" Pistons coach Larry Brown said. Yes, he did. And so this really hurts.</div> Source
Yeah, he did give it his all. There's only so much you could expect from a player to give when he has a strained rib. It limites his quickness with and without the ball, as well as his mobility. It affects your whole game. I give Wade a lot of credit for going out their in game 7 and playing the way he did.
Well I'm still a fan of Wade and the Heat. Anyone jumped off from Heat yet? I still stand by this team. Go Heat!
Dwayne Wade played with a lot of courage after injuring his ribs. He didn't settle for jumpshots and continued to attack the rim. The kid is a 'gamer' and is the reason Miami made it to the ECF. I felt bad for him after ESPN ripped him for trying to do too, much in the 4th quarter and ending up 0-6 in that quarter. DWade earned valuable playoff experience and is still only in his second season. He is on path to becoming a superstar and future MVP of the league. Next year he should be even hungrier after just missing a trip to the Finals.
Wade gave us all he could. Him injury limited him but he still play his best and didn't give up. It takes guts and heart to play in a Game 7 while injured. This year was a great experience for Wade. He will only build on this and get better from his mistakes. Miami will make another playoff run next year, I just hope we're 100% healthy.
Yeah i would wish that injuries (if they should occur) happened one by one. Not all happenening at the same time.
