"I appreciate it," Wade said to the four-bus caravan of employees the Miami Heat assembled in front of the gym Tuesday morning at Nova Southeastern University. "You know I do." How much? That remains perhaps the most significant question in the franchise's 23-year history. With the free-agent guard yet to indicate his playing intentions, Tuesday was a day of mixed signals. First, a scheduled Wade media session to promote the Summer Groove charity event was canceled early Tuesday morning, with promoters concerned that the focus would turn solely to Wade's playing future. The Heat, nonetheless, followed through with its planned rally at Wade's three-day youth basketball camp, with team employees arriving wearing "We Want Wade" T-shirts, carrying placards and holding noisemakers. Not in attendance were Heat President Pat Riley, Heat coach Erik Spoelstra or Heat owner Micky Arison, although none had been expected to attend.
