Good timing for Riley to come back to coach the team! Heat might still make the playoffs if Riley goes on an undisclosed medical leave.
It was probably dislocated, the left shoulder... Man, he was crying - wouldn't expect that from him must've been in REAL pain.
I wouldn't be surprised if he tore ligaments in that shoulder, usually you do that with the first dislocation. The elbow may have been dislocated, as well.
i just had the worst thought ever, so bad that i dont even want to share it. i hope he ends up alright and comes back soon. and now he has to miss the mavs game...
Wade was taken away on a stretcher to a local hospital for more evaluation and x-rays. He won't travel with the team to face Dallas tomorrow night. I couldn't really tell what happened to him from the replays I saw. It's either an elbow or shoulder injury, but Wade was in serious pain. Doesn't look good at all.

If Wade is indeed out for the season or even an extended period of time, I would not be surprised if the Heat made a strong push for C-Maggs heading into the deadline.
According to Realgm, Miami radio has confirmed it's a severely dislocated shoulder. Basically, Miami's season is over and there is a great chance he has torn ligaments all over his shoulder. They took him to the hospital because they couldn't pop it back into place, it was too messed up.

Lost for words right now and have been for a while. Can't stress how much he means to this team and a severe injury like this will just tarnish our hopes of making up the playoffs. I feel more for him than the team though, he must be in a huge amount of pain.
This might change the way the Trade Deadline is played out. I wonder... what do you guys think it will change?
Very sad news Get better soon D-Wade. Hopfully this injury isn't season ending but It sounds like It could be.

This is really sad news for the entire league. I don't think there was a better individual player in the league up to this point in the season than Wade. Looking at the Heat roster, if Shaq can step up and play close to 35 minutes a night, they might sneak into the playoffs. You don't have to have a spectacular record to get an 8th seed in the East. Best case scenario is probably the Heat getting into the playoffs, some how, and Wade joining the team at that time.
As terrible as the East has been this year, and with the amount of big name players rumored to be available, I'm really surprised no one has made a move to acquire someone like Gasol, to take advantage and really pull away from the pack. With Wade out for an extended period of time, Miami's playoff hopes are in trouble. When's the last time an NBA team won the Championship and failed to make the playoffs the following season? The Knicks are one of the bubble teams in the East, I wonder if Dolan allows Isiah the freedom to make a blockbuster trade now and take on additional salary. Imagine if the Knicks land Gasol.
