Who's the better Sophomore right now and who will be the best one in the future between these two. This could be based on hwo they play and effect their teams, and try to seem like there's no barrier between positions. (Wade pg, Melo sf) Who's the better player overall, throughout their careers and etc...
I think the better future player will be Dwayne Wade. He is doing better than MElo this year and Wade has a better head on his shoulders. There have been rumors about Bar fights and drug possesion that have been surrounding Carmelo. He seems like he has turned into a punk since his rookie year. Also, Wade will have more championships because he is on a better team. Wade will be the better player IMO.
It has to be Wade. Melo's attitude has taken a change for the worse. He has a horrible attitude, he is struggling from the field, and his team is struggling. I think Wade will be a superstar, I dont know if I can say the same about Carmelo. Carmelo will be a star, but superstar? Not if his act doesnt change and attitude get better.
As of now Wade is much more effctive then Carmelo has been, but Melo has proved he can produce and stay healthy, it just takes him a while for him to get in a rhythm sometimes. Its hard to say who will be better, and both of these players are stars and will become better everyear, we just have to wait and see.Its kind of hard to compare because they both have different roles on their team.
Both are good players, but if you look at the two of them now - on and off the court it looks like Wade will have the better career. It seems like he has the stronger head on his shoulders. The willingness to succeed is weighted heavier than how good you actually are. Right now it seems like Melo is heading down the wrong direction. He's done some stupid things as of late such as a NYC bar fight and the weed situation. Wade on the other had is too busy wowing the crowds and winning ballgames for the Heat. <font size="1">Moved to Out of Bounds</font>
The better future player will be Wade. Melo is doing alot of stupid stuff like using crack and getting into bar fights. Wade can also has great court vision and will become the better all around player.

Ok, first of all: Marijuana: It wasn't his. NYC Bar fight: Someone spit in his GIRLFRIENDS face. Wouldn't you tear someone a new asshole if they spit in your girlfriends/boyfriends face? I'm sorry, but you don't hand her a napkin.
Attitude aside, I think Melo has the skills. But basketball is a game of attitude. For example, Kobe may be a good player, but because of his attitude towards teammates and his wife, the spotlights that was once on him is dimming. For me, Wade will be the better player over-all. He just need to improve more on his skills to surpass Melo.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Bobcats:</div><div class="quote_post">Ok, first of all: Marijuana: It wasn't his.</div> But it was still in his backback. Regardless of whos it was you have to wonder why he was even near weed in the first place. If it wasn't his (which I doubt) then he needs a new set of friends. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">NYC Bar fight: Someone spit in his GIRLFRIENDS face. Regardless of what happened with that, it still doesn't look good on his part. Most people are just going to hear 'Melo was involved in a bar fight' and not know the full story.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting boogieman470:</div><div class="quote_post">CHARGES ARE DROOOOOOOOOOOPPPPPEEEEEDD. let it go</div> Oh I'm not holding a grudge against him for it, I'm just saying his attitude has changed and he needs to select a new group of friends. He can smoke weed for all I care, (wouldn't surprise me if he does anyways) but Wade just seems like the more positive player of the two. He's been unlucky as of late, and needs to focus on basketball.
The weed thing is inexcusable, I dont care if it wasnt his...dumb on his part..the bar fight, every MAN would do the same thing and stick up for their woman, I know if some dude spits in my girls face I am not sitting there like a b.tch, I am getting up in his face tell him to chill out or somethings goin to happen..that simple, I can understand that.

And they would.
'Melo has too big of an ego for his own good. I certainly hope his ego doesn't get him to the point that it does something destructive. Wade is having a better sophmore year and will continue to excel. 'Melo is a phenomenal player as well but Wade is emerging into a superstar, much like LBJ has this year and has shown huge elevation. Meanwhile, Carmelo is sort of struggling but trying to pull it together. These three, along with Chris Bosh are the future Allen Iverson, Kobe Bryant, Tracy Mcgrady and Kevin Garnett's of our league. They are just amazing to watch and it's great that they have raised thier game so much since thier rookie years. Wade is still better though. If I was a GM right now, I'd take Wade over Melo. As the TNT analysts on draft day like to say so often, Wade has more "upside".
Melo's record includes 1- refusing to go back into a game because he was "fed up" with losing 2- possessing drugs in his backpack 3- getting involved in a barroom brawl have u seen who this guy hangs out with? wade is a more dedicated player who doesn't have an attitude problem unlike melo plus he's a better player
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Ice:</div><div class="quote_post">If some guy spit in my face I'd expect my boyfriend to beat him (expletive). And they would. </div> Spit in your face? Jokes aside, Wade is the better player and seems to be the better person. Melo still looks and seems like a baby, I realy got annoyed with him in the olympics.
