Former star defenseman Wade Redden has retired after 14 seasons in the NHL. Redden played with Ottawa, the New York Rangers, St. Louis and Boston. He finished with 457 points -- 109 goals and 348 assists. The 36-year-old player announced his decision Thursday through the NHL Players' Association.
