With Dwyane Wade in position to opt out of his Miami Heat contract for the second consecutive summer and third time in eight years, the All-Star guard's agent made it clear Thursday that the latest round of negotiations might not be a slam dunk. At season's end, when asked about the opt-out clause he held for this summer, Wade appeared to downplay his ability to opt out of the remaining season on his current, with that decision required by the end of June, before the July 1 start of NBA free agency. Wade, however, then made it clear shortly afterward that it should not be assumed he would bypass the opportunity to return to the free-agent market for a second consecutive year. "We will continue to talk," agent Henry Thomas told the Sun Sentinel on Thursday. "It's early in the process right now. So we'll continue to talk about it." Asked if Wade had expressed concern about the status of those discussions, Thomas said, "not really, not really. "It's at a point where we're certainly talking about the next contract, for sure." Thomas, however, cautioned not to assume Wade would enter free agency. - See more at: http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/miami-heat/sfl-miami-heat-dwyane-wade-s052915-story.html
