<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>WADE TO OLYMPICS?It sounds as if Wade, who has been invited to play for the U.S. basketball team, is ready to make the three-year commitment.A Chinese reporter told Wade he was popular in her country and asked whether he had ever been there."I will be soon," Wade said. "Hopefully I will be there in 2008 at the Olympics. Hopefully when I get out there one day soon I will get a warm ovation."Wade had said earlier in the week he would give an answer this weekend to USA Basketball Managing Director Jerry Colangelo. O'Neal said he still is considering Colangelo's invitation and would give him an answer sometime in March.</div>LinkI cant see Shaq playing, especially for the fact that he will be about 37 in 2008.
I really dont want to see Shaq in the olympics. It's time to let the young guns play. No body wants to see an out of shape 37 year old center start for team USA. We need to give guys like Dwight Howard a chance at that position.
Dwight Howard would be a good choice for that spot. guys like him and Chris Bosh with a lot of hype and potential. But, back on topic, I am glad to see Wade go to the olympics in '08.
Shaq would abuse those foreign players but i do agree let some other players play, i dont like it when shaq does those corny taunts at the end of a play. he does it too much. just take over big man. Just take over.
I'm glad that Wade is going to play in the 2008 Olympics. We need more guys like him to help bring home the gold.
I hope both him and Shaq join. They would really help out the team. Especially if we had Duncan, James, Tayshaun
Duncan delined recently and Iverson isnt getting invited. I thought they said something about Shaq decling on ESPN this mouring but Im hoping I misunderstood what was said because I want Shaq/Kobe reunion along with Wade.
Its now official, Wade will be on the team. Shaq has a special invitation, where he could join if he choose to at a later date. But I doubt he does.
