"It looks like the Heat will sign Dwyane Wade to a maximum contract extension with little fuss," reports Michael Cunningham of THE SOUTH FLORIDA SUN-SENTINEL. "Agent Henry Thomas said Monday he expects Wade to sign the extension, for five years and between $75 million and $85 million, on July 12. That's the first day teams can sign free agents, who have been free to negotiate deals since Saturday." </div>

He deserves every penny. You can't say that about most max contract players these days.

This was really a no brainier. There shouldn't even have been negotiations it should have been both parties walk into a room, and the Heat management puts a max contract on the table. I don’t know if this is a good move for Wade though. I personally think he would have been better served going to Orlando next season and teaming up with Howard for the next couple years. Shaq is going to retire soon, and after that the Heat are going to go through a down period. Wright might be able to be a future all star, but I think it will take some time for the Heat to get back on top after Shaq retires.

^^^Shaq will play out his contract, he has stated it multiple times and this team has a good shot to repeat if they stay together so he did the right thing. He just won a ring here what would make him leave now??

Ya that sounds like a nice plan, but realisticly theres no way Wade would play Shaq and the Heat like that. Plus if Wade would leave Miami after getting a ring... this city would slaughter him next time he step in Miami....and Im not talking just on the court lol.

Wade and LeBron both should stay with their teams.
