In what may be the biggest signing the WEC has had thus far, Brazillian newsmag Tatame claims former IFL Champion Wagnney Fabiano has signed with the WEC. The report is unclear as to whether Fabiano would enter the bantamweight (135-lbs) or featherweight (145-lbs) division in the WEC, but fights with either champion in those classes (Miguel Torres or Urijah Faber) are equally compelling. Fabiano is a third-degree black belt in Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu and a three time Brazillian national champion. His 10-1 record features six submission victories and he won his most recent fight and only title defense against Shad Lierley via first minute knockout.
sweeeet. I got to see him fight here in Ottawa, dude is action packed. he'll get squashed by Faber I would think, he COULD get a sub vs Torres, but I'm doubting it myself. Still he will offer some compelling fights in the WEC.
