Syracuse University recruit Dion Waiters participated in the Boost Mobile Elite 24 high school all-star game at Rucker Park on Friday.

Waiters, a 6-foot-1 guard from Philadelphia, Pa., came off the bench to score eight points for the White "The Goat'' squad, which lost 135-121 to the Blue "Skip to My Lou'' team. The teams were named for New York City playground legends Earl "The Goat'' Manigault and Rafer "Skip to My Lou'' Alston.

This story in the Newark (N.J.) Star-Ledger focuses on the matchup of Dominic Cheek and Lance Stephenson, but there's a mention of Waiters.

What's really interesting about it is the story refers to Waiters as attending Life Center Academy in Burlington, N.J. Waiters attended South Kent (Conn.) Prep School last year. There had been reports that he was going to transfer to Roman Catholic High in his hometown of Philadelphia. Now, it appears that he may head to Life Center Academy instead.
