Time's almost up and yet there hasn't been any action from Nets GM Thorn. He has kept everyone in waiting. Fact is, the Nets are done in New Jersey. It's only a matter of time when all the moves are unfolded for the transfer to Brooklyn. I feel that it's unfair for the players, people and fans of New Jersey. Everyone is still hoping for a miracle turnaround, where in fact the future of the Nets has already been plotted out by Thorn. It's true that Thorn doesn't want Kidd traded. But for different reasons. Kidd stays, not because they want him to bring the Nets a ring, but for the simple fact that they want Kidd to mentor Marcus Williams for him to make a smooth transition just in time for Brooklyn. Trading Carter now. Of course they do. Everyone knows how Carter's stock has dropped and that they want to get as much as they can for him as soon as possible. I don't believe that even Jefferson is safe from being traded. But this won't happen anytime soon. I do think it's the right time to think of rebuilding. With the move to Brooklyn in a few years, Thorn is doing what he is suppose to do. My problem is with the way he's doing it. I think that Jason Kidd deserves to be in a team where he will be valued and where he has a chance for another title shot. And not to be someone's babysitter on a rebuilding process. I hope that they give Kidd the proper respect and just move him. Jason Kidd is not just any other player, he is a future Hall of Famer.
Nets Serious about Moving Kidd, but He Wants to Stay <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The New York Times is reporting that the Nets are serious about moving Jason Kidd before Thursday's deadline, with Los Angeles being his most likely destination. As of Monday, however, Rod Thorn wasn't satisfied with the Laker offer. Beyond the team's poor record and Kidd's high salary, the Times reports Bruce Ratner is troubled by revelations in divorce filings by Kidd's wife Joumana. Meanwhile, Kidd denied lobbying for a trade, saying he wants to stay put.</div> http://www.nj.com/nets/ledger/index.ssf?/b...0890.xml&coll=1
