    Haters will hate :)

CF is hoping for this btw. Also KG hit 1000 games as well and said "knock on wood" about not getting injured anytime soon....uh oh...is that a season ending injury I sense?!

Can't say that I see this happening. While he lost some of his explosiveness, it hasn't really affected him. He can still get basically whatever he wants, whenever he wants.

Also to keep in mind...he keeps himself in better shape than anyone in the NBA. If anyone can defy this logic, it's Kobe.

It doesn't really matter. Kobe has already declined. He is nowhere near as athletic as he was back in the three-peat era. Don't believe? Go watch some tape. Dude was an athletic freak back then, now? He's nowhere close...

But Kobe adapts. He no longer needs to use his athleticism to dominate. Instead, he has got the most dangerous shooting touch in the league. Also, seeing how talented this team really is, he won't have to exert the effort and energy as he had in the past. He doesn't have to go out and score 50 every game to give us a chance to win. Kobe is still a great player, and he will continue to be one of the best in the league for years to come, whether haters like it or not.

Doesn't matter, we're freaking loaded and he'll contribute plenty anyway. :]

Kobe bulked up a few seasons ago and developed a post game. However, he's spent the last two seasons trimming down, working on flexibility, in hopes of extending his career.

The Celtics stayed in front of him during the Finals because they play a zone defense, which sent a secondary defender everytime Kobe tried to drive to the basket. It had nothing to do with him being slow. I don't see much drop off in his game at all. He can't jump as high, who cares?

this is a ridiculous argument. because jordan developed a post game in his later career, kobe will be less of a player if he doesnt follow suit.??? okay, first of all, it clearly states that a players statistical game should drop after thier 1000th game. okay, what has that ever had to do with winning a championship? garnetts statistical game dropped, as did allens, and i beleive peirce's as well. though correct me if im mistaken, i do not follow the celtics. anyway, secondly, kobe just won mvp over cp3, lebron, kg, wade, amare etc. so go stuff yourself with your history, he's the mvp, he's kobe friken bryant, probably the second or first best player in the history of the nba, so there is more "history" for you. thirdly, this is a team sport, kg needed peirce and allen to win his first title, as kobe needs pau and bynum to win his fourth. the whole team wins it, not a single players statistical output. so there.
