<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Head coach Scott Skiles bristled at a suggestion made by Miami Heat forward Antoine Walker, who said the Bulls are not quite as effective defensively since the arrival of center Ben Wallace.

"Maybe he should join the rest of the talking heads and go on TNT or something," Skiles shot back before the two teams met Wednesday at the United Center. "It doesn't really sound like he knows that he's talking about."

The previous day Walker said, somewhat innocently, "They (the Bulls) can be scored upon. They're not the same defensive team they were a year ago.

"Last year they really packed the lane inside. Now this year is a little different because they rely on Ben to make a lot of plays. They did it as a five-man unit last year, but they're still very tough. We're catching them on a back-to-back (game), so hopefully, that works to our advantage."

The statistics suggest Walker might be right in his assessment. The Bulls entered Wednesday's game ranked 18th in opponents field-goal percentage, compared to finishing first last season. In fact, Skiles made similar observations earlier this season.

Then again, Walker, a Mount Carmel High School product, and Skiles have a history of sorts, most notable a heated verbal exchange during halftime of Game 6 of the teams' Eastern Conference first-round series in May at the United Center.</div>

The Bulls-Heat is developing into a nice little rivalry.

    Walker vs. Skiles
    Riley vs. Hinrich
Wade getting booed by his hometown fans
Posey headhunts Hinrich last year, and Dent this year
Nocioni tackling Wade and then getting shoved down by Haslem

Walker is right, but a little late with his comments. But Chicago's defense has improved vastly since earlier this year.

this was something that was taken out of context when Skiles heard it..I saw the interview and the media turned this into something that's not there..Walker was just commnting on something that's true and that's that our D isn't as good as last year....yet!

What would Walker know about defense? He hasn't played it since high school

Walker and Defense shouldn't even be in the same sentence.
