Walker: Interest From SAC & NY Just reading this reports that claim Antoine Walker is drawing ALOT of interest from both Sacramento and New York. Although I personally don't see anyone worth aquiring on The Knicks roster, I think The Kings would defintely be worth speaking to in attempts to iron out a move. How about... Sign and Trade Cuttino Mobley, send him to Boston. He's a hometown guy, played his college ball right next door in Rhode Island. Cuttino Mobley already stated he wouldn't be staying in Sacramento, I think The Chris Webber trade changed his opinion on their championship chances. Also, send Bobby Jackson. He's in the last year of his contract, looking for his first starting job, and looking to show his abilities for 48 minutes a night in hopes of getting that big pay day. Afterall Sacramento has Mike Bibby so The Kings can't give Jackson that starting postion or a big contract, so their best bet would be to move him. I know Jackson has been injury prone, however Boston could lease him for this season. If he get injuried, allow Gary and Delonte to carry the load and don't resign him next summer. If all goes well, Jackson gives you 18 PPG and 5 APG and 5 RPG, leadership, defense, and clutch shots. Than you can resign him and work towards the future. Antoine Walker, Marcus Banks & Justin Reed --FOR-- Cuttino Mobley & Bobby Jackson Playing off of this deal Boston could afford to move Paul Pierce, which is reportedly want Celtics mangment wants, and allow Cuttino to start. JUST AN IDEA...???
I do not like that deal. Mobley is a free agent this off season so he would want a big pay day as well, and Jackson has been really injured the last few seasons since winning sixthman. I think Banks although with the developement of West and Allen has become expendable for the Celtics he still has potential to be a nice young player in the future. I believe that if the Celtics want Walker back they can easily get him. The Knicks always seem to be involved with Walker rumors yet never get to far involved, because of there cap, and the fact Isiah is always trying to juggle two or more issues the team has at the sametime.
I HATE that deal.Would hate to see Walker as a King and the idea of having to give up Bobby Jackson to get him makes me sick.Jackson provides great everything off the bench and his contract isnt even up yet.PLEASE Isiah Thomas, get Antoine Walker....hes your man.I cant imagine Geoff Petrie sitting back and considering a trade like that.

He's contract runs out this season. He wants to start and he wants a pay day, neither of which he'll get in a Kings uniform with Mike Bibby around. So what's Sacramento to do? Keep him on the roster this season when they're not really even considered an elite team anymore? No. They'll trade him and get some sort of value in exchange to have in the future. Bobby Jackson is a great player when healthy, he is great off the bench, your 100% correct on that, but the fact of the matter is his days in Sacramento are numbered, deal with it.
Yes but dont the Kings have some sort of player option on Bobby next year?I know ive read somewhere that the Kings are going to pick up his option or that Bobby wants to play out the next year as a King.Jackson hasnt had a fairly healthy season in a couple years now and his value has taken a hit because of it.Im pretty sure hes aware of this and knows he needs to have a good showing before he signs another contract.I can deal with Jackson playing for the Kings next year just fine. Its not like the Kings NEED to trade him.If its Antoine Walker we're talking about then I seriously doubt that would happen, dont care what the article says.If it DOES somehow happen then I'll have lost all faith in Geoff's ability to put together another championship caliber team. With the teams needs and weaknesses in mind trading for Antione Walker makes zero sense.Dont think Geoff would do it.Im willing to bet Bobby Jackson is a King next year.

He'd get a bigger and better contract if he were to start somewhere next season and show EXACTLY what he's capable of. The fact is the guy is TOO talented to be sitting on the bench for his entire career, he won't be staying in Sacramento past this contract, or this season at most. Antoine Walker fits this system. He can play in the open court, he can rebound the basketball, he's a great passer, he's likely to be very cap friendly when he inks a new contract as he's been humbled by his Atlanta Hawk expierence. Let me ask you, how much more different is Antoine Walker's game than Chris Webber's? I'm not saying Antoine Walker is the solution to getting this team back to where they were a few years ago, but I do believe his game works in Sacramento's system, much like Chris Webber's did. The pick and roll's with Bibby, the high post passing, the high screen hand offs, all of the plays you saw Sacramento run with Chris Webber in town could be a mirror image of what Walker would do under this system in my opinion.
first off, that trade is HORRIBLE for Sacramento, and I dunno why Boston would get rid of Banks...but why would sacto want Walker? hes a player who stops ball movement and has poor shot selection...that style of play doesnt really fit with the Kings, IMO...
