Probably a crude way of doing it, and I wouldn't feel at all comfortable if I was in Wally's position. However at the same time, I find myself, like most Seattle fans, agreeing with the stance taken. In my opinion Walker has not proven himself, and a change is needed. Whether Howard Schultz has the metal to make such a chance is a different matter altogether.
I don't think I know a Sonics fan that is happy with Wally's performance over the years. Everytime I talk to my dad about the Sonics he'll say something along the lines of, "they need to get rid of Wally Walker...that guy is an idiot." A change in the front office would be welcome by me and I assume most others but like Supersonic said, I don't know if Mr. Starbucks wants to fire his good buddy.
I know of how that all came together. The people at the Seattle PI Sonics forum put their money together and planned the whole thing out. I've been a lurker at that forum for a few years now. All in all I'm very pleased with the results. Wally needs to go. It's sickening how far he's sunk this team.
