<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>25th November, 2006 - 12:30 pmLos Angeles Times - Luke Walton is leading the NBA in 3-point field goal percentage so far this season. He eliminated the knuckle-ball effect that his shot had in the past and has made 11 of 17 (64.7%) from beyond the arc, a percentage that tops all players with 15 or more attempts. "He's kind of found a stroke that he's relying on now that looks much better," Lakers Coach Phil Jackson said. "That's what we're looking for, that he consistently holds his own out there as a shooter. We don't consider him per se a three-point shooter, but we're really glad that he's able to take the shots and make them." [READ]</div>LINKPretty Cool, I guess. Walton has been showing the league that he can hit the three.

I doubt it will last though. when his PT goes down with everyone finally getting healthy (I wish it wouldn't) he won't be as hott from downtown.

I want to see Walton in the 3 point competition and pull that off...But still pretty cool he's leading right now. Would've never guessed it.

Walton is leading the 3-point percentage category because he is a smart shooter this year. He isn't taking bad shots. I could see him keeping this for the remainder of the season if he keeps up the caliber of play he's had so far.

<span style="font-family:Lucida Console">It will eventually go down. I don't see him averaging 20 ppg and hitting above .300% 3-Pters as the season moves on. If he does continue hitting about .500%, I'll give him the nod as one of the best 3-Pt shooters in the league. Obviously, he won't be above Ray Allen, but being one of the best is still an honor.</span>
