o well, there isnt a alot of big name head coaches that are stillgood out there, better to wait.

jarourn-1 good year with a lot of overtime bounces their way

fassell- ok coach, got alot out of nothing but he cant hold a team together and play for eachother i guess, i cant explain what i mean now

mcginnis- if you thought of him u gotta be kidding

spurrier-if he couldnt win with a good D, coles, gardner and ramsey in a fun 'n gun offense, he wont win with fiedler/griese and chambers and thomspon

tice- 6-0 and collapsed. i dono about him hes hard to get a opinion on

williams or what ever his name is in buffalo, no. isnt he a D-guy that couldnt win with a pretty good LB group and a underated DB groups and a top 5 RB, top 5 WR and a good qb.

callahan-i dono about him, it seems like he has a good O- mind but not a good personality for the lockeroom and to lead a team.

    who else?...............

i think they should have fired wanny last year, and i posted that at the zone during the summer. becasue there was a better class

    mooch, lewis and parcells

I must say I LOVE WAYNE. looks like all we have to worry about next season is the New York Jets. Thanks for making the division easier for one more year WAYNE!!!!

It will be official later today. Wanny gets a 1 yr extension but a GM will be brought in to have the final say on personnel decisions. Further, it appears the GM can then make a decision on Wanny at the end of next season.

Only time will tell if Wayne did the right thing which I doubt. The experts were crowing about how good Dave's record is. Yeah, but, look at the direction the franchise is going.

Maybe if the Teflon one focuses strictly on coaching things may improve? If I were Dave I would stick strictly to defense & motivation when needed and let Norv work his Magic. The more Wanny tinkers w/ the O the worse it gets.

The "Bags for beef" campaign looks like it will run well into 2004. Where do we send donations???

    Dale; I agree.

This decision makes the 14 inches of snow we received Friday seem absolutely fantastic by comparison and I hate snow more than I hate the jets.

I figured my jets comment would get you dale. haha I can't help but kick the fins when they are down cus my Pats were down forever it seemed. Though a down year is still a winning season for you guys.

Maybe hiring a GM will be the trick and I also have heard up here that Pioli of the pats may be someone they go after but no official intrest shown yet. It is supposedly a possibility because he isn't the GM here because Belichick has final say on all personel decisions so it makes Pioli kind of a director of personel. Title wise it would be a step up though he basicly is a GM now.

I hope no one takes Pioli or Charlie Weis or Romeo Crennel. I'm hoping for not too many head coaches being fired because these guys need to stay here. I think the most important one is probably Weis as he probably has full control of that offense. I read somewhere that there was a new guy working with Brady this year breaking down film and preparing for the games but after the Redskins game Brady wanted to go back to Weis. I think hes done pretty good since that game.

I never heard that. Do you know who the guy is? Ya I agree Glenso we have a solid staff and don't need to be losing coaches just yet, but I'm afraid we will lose at least one of them.

Sorry to tell ya Pats fans but your gonna lose all 3 of those guys in all likely hood(Cromell, Weis, and Pioli)....Cromell and Weis are head coaching locks at this point, and I think the Dolphins are deciding between Mueller and Pioli as we speak....

I cant believe they extended him for even a day, much less 2 YEARS???? It really doesnt mean anything, because a coach can be fired at anytime, contract or no contract, so its just a money issue. I cant understand how a team that underachieves like no other(maybe the Saints), would want to stay the same at the top, why not bring in some fresh blood and see what can happen....I guess my new deal is that I will take this bag off my head, when Fiedler is gone from the roster....my new worst nightmare is that Norv Turner gets a job elsewhere and the Dolphins are left with Dave looking for a new O-Co...

I don't think you should worry about Norv. It's not like he has had this record breaking Offense dow there and I think he is a little overrated from his cowboy days.

As for losing Pioli,Crennel, and Weis that would be a tough loss but I would be surprised if all three were gone. also after the 2001 superbowl Crennel and weis were supposedly gone then too. I think they both could be good head coaches and derserve a chance but some teams are scared of guys with no head coaching experience. Crennel will get a look from almost every team even if they don't want him because he is a minority so that will make intrest for him seem like more than it is. I'm holding out hope that Weis is still with us next season because I think he matters the most out of the 3. I like Pioli and he has done a great job but Belichick is involved with every decision he has made and both have said many times they see eye to eye most of the time when evaluating talent. So his loss should be bearable. The offseason will be intresting and as long as we don't give anymore Players/Coaches to teh division I'll be happy.

Weis would be a head coach right now if he hadnt nearly died from complications of gasteric bypass surgery...that incedent cost him major oppurtunities following the Super Bowl year and I think it cost the Patriots a chance to repeat as well....I predict Wies is the coach of the Chicago Bears by February 15th!

Ya I hear ya the heart problems did set him back. I hope he doesn't leave but if it was to the bears I'd have no problem since it's not in the Conference.
