Los Angeles, California- When Rawle Marshall made his first NBA start not too long ago, he arrived for practice two hours before tip-off, and for a hard-worker such as Dirk Nowitzki, he might be arriving in just three and a half hours. Dirk knows that Terry is a great shooter on the run, and that Josh Howard might not make too many shots, but make up for them with offensive rebounds, but he must take advantage on offense with Chris Kaman guarding him. When Dirk could not do it on February 21st, with only a 17-point performance against Kaman, Dallas escaped by only 2 points. When Dirk took advantage like he always does, he had 26 points, with two treys in the grill of Kaman, including a double-double.However, don't leave out the importance of guard play. Jason Terry averages nearly 17 PPG, but against the Clippers, he's only scored 19 points in 2 appearances in 66 minutes on 7-23 shooting, but the thing he will need to do is control Sam Cassell, arguably the MVP of the Clippers. As for team stats, the Clips are an average offensive team and defensive team, scoreboard-wise. However, the run a slower-paced offense, and are a top 5 good shot team and a top 5 defensive team in forcing bad shots.Dirk Nowitzki dribbling the ball for the Dallas Mavericls. He posted 20 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists in the blowout.Even worse for Jason Terry is that the Clippers only allow 35% beyond-the-ark shooting. If Terry cannot come up, though, there's always Dirk, The Jay Ho, and Stack, and maybe even Diop on occasions, who had a monster slam posterization on New Orleans. But some positives for Dallas is that Los Angeles is a horrible efficiency team at the charity stripe (73%), and that even though Sam Cassell is the kind of guy to find his other four teammates open a lot, Dallas is 28th in the league in assists, but still average approximately an assist more than opponents on average!Who will win this game? We'll see, but if this game gets close down the stretch, look for a playoff-like atmosphere!Article exclusively written by The Mavericks GameNight.
