I loved Charlie Ward’s game. He didn’t have the flashiest game around, but he had an effective one. Ward always played with a lot of heart and gave it his all every game which is something I always appreciated about him. He was also a peacemaker and didn’t have an ego or anything like that. I wish he would come back and join us instead of the Rockets, though.

Patrick Ewing and Charlie Ward should come back to the knicks. Teach the new knicks how to play real New York Knick basketball. Houston takes all of our players. So do the bulls.

Van Gundy likes him and Ward still has contractual obligations to the Rockets. Ward seems intent on being around to help JVG and the Rockets any way he can, so don't be banking on Ward being in New York anytime soon.

Besides, Larry Brown has barely any connection with Ward (as far as I know), so I doubt he would be so open to adding Ward to his assistant coaching staff. I don't think Ward would want to be an advance scout or anything like that. Same for Pat.
