Billups stroked several consecutive three-pointers at the end of Tuesday's shootaround at the Pistons' practice facility. Afterward, he talked about the Heat, which has won 15 of its last 17 games.

"I'm just happy to get a game like that -- with a team that's smoking hot," Billups said. "It'll be a great challenge for us. That's a team that, like I said, we're going to see down the road, hopefully. So it's fun."

Billups said it was a good time to work on his long-range shooting.

"I need to get some extra work in," he said. "Same shots I've been shooting haven't been going. I think it's just reps, though. I haven't had that much practice time. I haven't had that much time to work on it."

Billups made 2-of-8 three-pointers Monday against the Atlanta Hawks. Asked if the Pistons would use tonight's game against the Heat as a measuring stick, he said: "I think we're everybody's measuring stick, so I don't think it's that. But I'm excited to play it."

Rasheed Wallace said: "Our mission is to be there in June. So, we're going to go ahead and play a tough game tomorrow. But we gotta KIM -- keep it moving."

The last time the two teams met, Feb. 12 at Miami, guard Dwyane Wade scored the Heat's final 17 points in a come-from-behind 100-98 victory. Since then, Wade has emerged as the Heat's No. 1 scoring option -- ahead of center Shaquille O'Neal.

Coach Flip Saunders was mum on whether he would make adjustments in defending Wade, who scored 35 points in a 100-96 loss to Minnesota on Tuesday.

"You try to play him better," Saunders said. "It's a fine line about how much you want to show."</div>
