Randy Rosetta of tigerssportsdigest.com just broke the news via Twitter, @randyrosetta. A warrent for Jefferson and teammate Joshua Johns were issued for second degree battery which is a felony. Guessing Les Miles can't wait any longer to suspend. Both players are turning themselves in to BRPD now.
Honestly, that team is going to have so much else going on that I figure their heads won't be much in the game on Sep 3.
http://www.nola.com/lsu/index.ssf/2011/08/jordan_jefferson_josh_johns_tu.html Baton Rouge - LSU football players Jordan Jefferson and Josh Johns have turned themselves in to Baton Rouge police Friday and were booked with felony second-degree battery. Shortly after surrendering to police, both players were suspended indefinitely by Miles. Jefferson is the team's starting quarterback. Johns is a reserve linebacker. Jefferson's absence means Jarrett Lee is the LSU starting quarterback on Sept. 3 when the No. 4 ranked Tigers play No. 3 Oregon in the Cowboys Classic in Arlinton's Cowboys Stadium.
