Saw this on Yahoo!... Very cool! <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Dunn is famous for performing charity work and he's already been doing what he can to help with the Hurricane Katrina relief effort. Warrick told reporters that he and his teammates have pledged to donate at least $25,000 per player and he's urging other teams to follow suit.</div> A great idea!
Hopefully all of the other NFL teams will follow suit. I still think it's embarrassing that the league office is only donating a million dollars. I think 10 million would be a little more reasonable, given the kind of money the league makes every year.
It seems that Warrick is always there to help out when people are in need. This guy is just a remarkable human being as far as I'm concerned and I'm glad to have him as a part of the Falcons organization.
I agree, PA. 1,000,000 from the NFL is weak. They could do so much better than that. Warrick Dunn is a class act. The NFL should follow the example of it's Man of the Year.
Gosh thats just awsome go Warrick Iv'e always thought of this guy as one of the classiest guys in the nfl and this just goes to prove it more! Also anyone hear about Dieon trying to get every NFL player to donate at least 1000 each?
Last night on the big idea on Donny Deutsch on CNBC, DD was interviewing Peyton Manning. PM & Eli had gone down to see what could be done & help. PM did say enough of the press conferences for everybody to do something even if its just donating $ or supplies. Peyton said he and Reggie Wayne (from NO) were going to try have some emblem to honor what happened. That will be interesting when you realize how militant the NFL can be about how players look.
