Warriors @ Pacers Tipoff: 4 p.m. today, Conseco Fieldhouse. TV: Fox Sports Net. Radio: KNBR (1050). Pacers update: With F Ron Artest out after thumb surgery, the Pacers are expecting a lot from Al Harrington, who moved from sixth man to starter and from power forward to small forward. Harrington is averaging 13.6 points and 6.6 rebounds as a starter, and Indiana is 7-1 in the games he has started. The Pacers' defense came up big Sunday in a 94-80 win over Utah. Indiana trailed by five late in the third quarter but held Utah to just two baskets for more than nine minutes to pull away. Warriors injuries: Guard Speedy Claxton (sprained right thumb) is probable. Forward Mike Dunleavy (ankle) is questionable. Pacers injuries: Artest is out 4-6 weeks.
Is anyone watching this game? The Warriors are losing 52-51 at the half. My cable isn't working. Looks like a great game right now.
Yeah but the second half is not so good. There just seems to be absolute chaos when they put Dunleavy and NVE on the floor at the same time. Both are weak perimeter defenders. And the reason I pick on those two is because after a miss by one of those two the Pacers run it back for a scoring run. Pacers by 1

I'm predicting the pacers by 1. But I think it might fall apart with Musselman's small ball if he doesn't sub in a reasonable lineup. He's putting in Richardson as the 3 and NVE as the 2. Bender, Croshere, and Reggie Miller will all score and outrebound over them. Another Musselman blunder. I swear he hates rebounding.

Wow talk about frustration again. I guess as an unemployed recent college grad i'm about the only one who watched this game from start to finish. It was a great game until as custodianrules points out Musselhead took out Damp. Then it was all over. I have a few problems from today. First it seemed like Indy was blocking everything and the W's weren't getting any calls their way, but that's not the biggest problem. Nick just seems like he can't get past anyone. Cliff was hesistant. Jrich had a strong second half. Damp was nice in the first. It was just frustrating once again realizing that the game was lost when the W's didn't score for 6 min. And it seems like its the same lineup out there when that happens. Nick at 2 isn't doing anything good for the W's so please Musselhead don't use that lineup the rest of the year. Musselhead is just so stubborn and he likes to ride lineups. Foyle was out there a little too long without any real offensive force. It would be fine if JRich and maybe Cardinal were out there, but with Cheaney, a non-offensive Nick, and hesitant Cliff it was disaster tonight.
damnit, past few games i've seen cliff blocked atleast 4-6 times on a side note, Cardinal's family and friends showed up to support him, how sweet!, and he's married, i did not know this :X
Yay said it best. Frustrating. We are in almost everygame but just find ways to lose. J-Rich had a nice second half, really the only one stepping up. Pathetic.

Also he can't defend anyone anymore. If he's not being productive on the court with assists and scoring he useless. The problem is Muss can't bench him since all we have is Avery johnson and he's not much better.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting custodianrules2:</div><div class="quote_post">Now they took out Dampier. The game is thrown.</div> When did muss take out Damp? Damp looked like he a great game from the box score. Also he seems to always play well agianst indiana
Why didn't musselmen put Robinson on O'neil? <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">It seemed logical that Warriors Coach Eric Musselman would use Clifford Robinson to guard Jermaine O'Neal, the Indiana Pacers' leading scorer and three-time All-Star. But Robinson, whom Minnesota's Kevin Garnett has called the league's best defensive power forward, instead was matched up with Al Harrington. O'Neal took advantage and poured in 34 points to lead the Pacers to a 107-96 victory. Robinson said he had expected to guard O'Neal but thought the coaches might have been worried about Harrington being guarded by the smaller, slower Brian Cardinal. ``But I thought B.C. could have played him fairly well,'' Robinson said. ``That's a coach's decision, so you roll with it.'' </div> http://www.mercurynews.com/mld/mercurynews...ors/8035727.htm -=-=-=-=-=-=-==-=-=-=-==-=-=-=-=-==-=-=-=-==-=-=-= I'll let custodianrules2 handle this one.
Gohn, they took out Damp with 4 minutes to go in that Pacers game I think. I don't know for sure because I was too upset to watch or remember how the rest of it turned out, but I knew the game was thrown because the Warriors were going all small. Typically when the warriors go all small, they lose all their shotblocking, rebounding, putbacks, second chance points, their foul limit, and ability to make defensive stops. This is probably why everyone in the league wants our center because he's such a beast on the defensive end. I mean he only leads the league in offensive rebounds and 4th in total rebounds overall. He is an efficient scorer if you create for him. He's quicker than most big men and he's hard to move in the paint. Anyway, So here was the lineup. They put in Claxton at the 1, NVE at the 2, Richardson at the 3, Cardinal at the 4, and Cliff at the 5 spot. Jeff Foster and Jermaine O'neil basically owned the glass because of their size and leaping, but so did their guards and forwards because of the height disparity between their lineup and ours. I'm not sure why Damp was covering O'neil initially, rather than Robinson, who is a better, quicker perimeter defender. But they just took Damp out of the game with that crazy lineup (Damp even had 21 pts I think). That just shows cluelessness on the part of the defensive coordinator and the coach if they believe going with a small lineup, who had players in it that couldn't even get it done the first time around with Damp in the game, will suddenly make the game close. How often has this worked in the past with this kind of substitutions? NONE. NVE is not Allen Iverson or Jason Terry with those bum knees. Also I saw a lot of defensive rebounds go to the guards in that game for second chance Pacers points. Like for instance, I saw several long shots bounce hard off the rim and straight back to the perimeter because it was a long rebound. There were no guards back to do any rebounding. I saw this happen a lot with NVE in the game crowding around the basket. Why is he even there and not back further away? Jim Barnett even agreed with me when he announced it right after I was just thinking why is there nobody back to grab the long rebounds the Pacers are constantly giving. It happened in Portland to which resulted in a loss because they couldn't get that defensive rebound that would've resulted in a stop and close. Anyway, I don't want to sound negative, but its gotten to the point where we haven't had a good coach in such a long time, Musselman is getting Jon Gruden of the NBA comparrisons already by overly hopeful warrior fans because of last season's improvement. I mean you can just see he's not an x's and o's guy or a great decision maker on the court, which is why his players are not happy with his system. The only thing I like about Musselman is that he plays Brian Cardinal and played Earl Boykins last year. Other than that I think he's too predictable of a coach and he just gets caught up watching the game rather than coaching it. Who else is there that's better? Probably nobody. Will Cohan ever spend the money on a good coach? Never.
