This game has been ugly. Warriors playing like shit and not really showing effort. Turiaf left the game early in the fourth quarter. I think they said that it's an ankle or knee sprain.
Not to beat a dead horse, but this team is better off without Maggette and Jackson. Please get rid of at least one. It's bad enough when both are on the court at the same time. If we're going to lose, at least lose with the young guys.
I’ve been a Nellie supporter/apologist for a long time, but I think his glitz has worn off. His rotations, the handling of the media, and the reactions he gets from the players is simply inexcusable. Since it’s only been two games, I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt to turn this around to where the team actually looks and plays like a team, where his rotations don’t alienate Randolph, and where he pretends like he’s enjoying his job. I guess wins would help, but wins would only cover up a bunch of glaring problems. If an ownership/management change is too much to ask, we need a coaching change. You know, pull a Singletary.
Despite my Nellie criticisms and disappointments, I am also very disappointed in Anthony Randolph's play. He hasn't shown any semblance of control and looks like the kid who was fighting for PT beginning of last season. If this is how he's playing in practice and if this is how he's going to play in games, there's a good reason why he's not getting PT. But, his PT has been more sporadic than consistent. Ugh, so many problems!!!
The long term solution is a change of ownership. The short term solution could be a change of coach. The problem is, who is going to make that decision? Cohan? Rowell? I don't think Riley is going to be looking for a new coach. We may turn out worse if this team tries to get a new coach. I'd rather have Nelson as head coach than Mike Montgomery. Basically what we are left with is that the only solution is a change of ownership.
