I told a guy at the cigar shop the blazers were going all the way and sweeping the warriors this year.

The thing I haven't seen much about (and Pop probably wants it this way) is that the Spurs are currently winning 84% of their games (48-9) and are on track for 69-13, 2nd-best record in NBA history. If they go 22-3 instead of 21-4, they'll win 70, which has only ever been done by the 72-10 Bulls. They're a really good team playing really well.

How awesome would it be for Tex to be the only major acquisition on a team that ends up winning 70, only to be outshone by the W's winning 73, and then losing to PDX in the first or second round?

One interesting wrinkle to their record is that they're 1-4 against the other four Top 5 teams (record-wise).

They have always been somewhat mediocre in the regular season against top competition.

But they absolutely blister teams that are clearly worse than them, and they always turn it up in the playoffs anyways.
