No TV for this one, too bad because the Warriors finally snap out of it and destroy the Wizards in Washington...

Reverse psychology/reverse jinxing probably won't work on this one.

It's an early game and it's on the road. So that probably means we either need a blindfold or some lube for what's coming.

I'm predicting this is Jason's welcome back game. His energy has been there, biut the shot has not. He's had about a week of playing (and now practice) with the starting squad. Let's watch him closely and see if Montay tries to get him involved early. If Montay starts trying to win the game by himself from the beginning, we can chalk up another loss.

hmmm...I guess the goal is to lose the rest of the games maybe? haha. I kind of wish I saw the ending. That sounds like a crazy finish. Who calls a foul with .1 seconds left, or a technical at that point in the game?

Wow, AO, we were both wrong. That's sort of good, I guess.

So guys, I noticed Ellis, Beans, and Jrich have some pretty darn good numbers. Were they playing well? I noticed Harrington also played pretty well, but I'm skeptical of what actually happened (i.e. the Troy Murphy effect, good stats, but no impact to play defense or passing the ball). I noticed he got 6 offensive rebounds, how many were his own misses? [IMG]

Was this another stupid foul by Pietrus with time expiring? Was it even a foul? I mean even if there's .1 seconds left, if there's a foul, you call the foul, I have no problem with that if it's legitimate.

Donnie shouldn't gotten the technical, but the foul came before time went off. Matt Barnes and J-rich tried to psyche GA out like Lebron did last year, but GA just talked right back, and made them, [IMG].

I'm still a bit steamed after this loss. The Warriors get NO RESPECT from the refs. This was a really an unusual situation and I can't remember when a technical foul was called to end a game like that. Usually, the refs let the players play and decide the game. First, there was the driving shot attempt by Gilbert Arenas. Gil did not get the shot off in time. The refs though called a foul on Mickael Pietrus BEFORE the game ended. Boy, what a dumb *ss foul!!!!1111!!!!1111. You can see the replay here by clicking on the video camera icon (need Internet Explorer):

However, what happened after that was a travesty. They called a technical foul on Don Nelson!!!!1111!!!!1111. That one was hard to swallow. You just don't call a foul like that and give a team the game. Not after you played 47 minutes and 59.90 seconds. That's what I mean by NO RESPECT. It should've gone to OT!!!!1111!!!!1111

Even before the last sequence, I thought the Warriors should've won it if Al Harrington purposely missed the second free throw. It was less than 3 seconds left and with the way the Warriors have been playing on the road, it would not have been bad strategy to try and let the clock expire and win the game that way.

I have it on tape, GA drew contact on Mikeal Pitreus with 0.2 seconds left, it's just that the refs called the foul after the 0.2 seconds...do you really expect the refs to make the call between 0.2 seconds and the buzzer?

The technical was bull in my opinion, unless Nelson may have said some harsh words or anything, but he wasn't acting crazy or anything.

Al Harrington could've purposely missed it, but the Wizards still had the timeout, which could bring them up to halfcourt down by 1...

Yeah, that's crap lol. Even if I were a Wizard fan I'd be disappointed that the game wasn't settled by the players. It should have gone to OT.

With Baron, GS would whoop on Washington.

Oh well, it doesn't really matter, because it's not about this season anyway. It's about the offseason. Some players won't be here next year, some deals will be made, etc. This roster isn't ready anyway so there's no point pushing for the playoffs anyway. Not to try to lose, mind you, but they should play Powell, POB and Azibuike more and get them ready for next season.

    Wow. Just wow.

This game could have gotten us closer but we were screwed big time. Now tomorrow we are gonna lose by a billion to the Pistons.

13 years and counting. [IMG] [IMG]

What's sad is that GS would be the 11th seed in the EAST, lol.

At least the more we lose, the less we get our hopes up, the moer Nellie gets resigned to just audition the young guys -- POB, Az, Powell. Hopefully we go with the youth movement:

keep Monta, Beans, Az, POB, Powell, and Sarunas
let Piertus walk, let Barnes walk
    buyout Foyle
Be willing to trade any of JRich, SJax, Harrington, Baron if we can get a premier PF
    Get lucky in the draft

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Golden State Warriors clearly were not pleased about the way they lost to the Wizards yesterday afternoon at Verizon Center.

Moments after Gilbert Arenas clinched the 107-106 win by making three free throws, including one that was the result of a technical foul assessed to Golden State Coach Don Nelson, Golden State General Manager Rod Higgins met referees Tony Brothers, Derrick Stafford and Jason Phillips in the tunnel leading to the locker room.

Stafford had hit Nelson with a technical after Nelson used profanity to dispute a call Brothers made in the closing seconds. With Golden State nursing a two-point lead with 2.9 seconds remaining, Brothers called a foul on guard Mickael Pietrus, who was defending a driving Arenas. "That's [expletive]," Higgins yelled. "A technical?"

    Stafford cut Higgins off.</div>

I think that settles it. The foul on Pietrus was clear contact drew by Arenas with 0.2 seconds left, so I don't think the Warriors got robbed.
