I liked Martin, I'm sure GS did too, they just didn't want to have to waive a guaranteed contract to make room for him. Perhaps Carl will play 10 days and then they can sign Martin again?
Tolliver can't shoot a lick, despite Barnett trying to rave about him early on. Frankly, I'd give a shot to any number of other D-Leaguers, while we're at it. I mean, Kobe Carl looked good last night. Make it a buffet. Keep trying different players until one blows you away. I really liked Tolliver's defense and rebounding when he first got here, but that jumper is butt-ugly, and IMO he hasn't hit a home run. I'd try a few other PFs and see what's down there...
He was getting booed loudly in the OKC game tonight, every time he clunked a brick and later when he even touched the ball. The lower seats were only like 25% full in the fourth quarter, I really think the general populous (even the casual advertising block seats) are starting to turn against this lousy franchise. They are realizing what a pile of dog crap they paid $150 to see when they see a bunch of no-name D-leaguers stink it up in extended garbage time, night after night, for a coach who checked out a long time ago.
Attendance has to continue to dip. I think the Atlanta Hawks at one point averaged 7k/game. That's something that will force Cohan to sell. Right now, he has no reason to, IMO. Partly because he's delusional but partly because fans keep going to the games.
We can only hope. Sadly, we (my firm) are sitting on 4 more games at about $600 per (2 tickets) and that means better go.
Coby Karl's a nice guy he can beat you in HORSE
