"The Warriors have hired Bob Beyer as an assistant coach, according to league sources. Beyer spent the past five seasons on Stan Van Gundy's staff in Orlando. Beyer will take the spot of Wes Unseld Jr., who left the Warriors last month to join Jacque Vaughn in Orlando. Vaughn took over for Van Gundy, who was fired at the end of the season. Before joining the Magic in 2007, Beyer was an assistant coach for two seasons at Dayton. He also worked under Bob Knight at Texas Tech from 2001-03. He also had stints as an assistant coach at Northwestern and Wisconsin. Beyer was a head coach at Siena College from 1994-97."
