I wonder if we can send Jax/Maggette for Dalembert/Kopono. All crappy contracts, we lose talent-wise but get 2 shorter deals.

there was a time (long ago) that i would have been very interested in dalambert, but not for two years at 12 mil. i want to get rid of jackson, but not in exchange for more overpaid/underachieving talent.

This would be the only scenario to even consider dealing for Dalembert. Dumping two lousy contracts and two players taking minutes away from the younger core of the Warriors.

Adding Dalembert would allow Nellie to play Turiaf at his true position PF and actually put a lineup out there with some size.

I admit I thought Dalembert was intriguing when he was on his rookie contract, but was shocked when he got his current deal. Also, Philly's another team whose coaching style does not fit the starting personnel they have. They should have hired Flip Saunders. Come to think of it, we should have hired Flip.

From what I hear from Sixers fans, Dalembert sucks.

His talent level wouldn't be an issue for me. If we can send out bad 5 year contracts for bad 2 year contracts it's a good deal. The fact that he gives us another big body is an added bonus

Can't disagree there. Dalembert sucks but we're lacking big men and his contract is short. Also opens up the opportunity to trade Beans if a good deal comes along. I'd rather have Beans but if we could package Beans/Monta/Jack/anything-on-the-damn-roster-but-Curry for a legit star (preferably a PF) and still have a decent 7 foot role playing center it'd be a nice luxury.

With the warriors playing ex-nbdl PF Mikki Moore and SF/PF Anthony Randolph as backup center, a center like Dalembert would be a plus. If only for two years, why not? It ain't like we'd have the avail cap to go after Chris Bosh. I think most franchise players' agents are no dummies, they'd avoid Cohan like the plague.
