Tall, athletic, defensive minded SF. Great rebounder and shotblocker for his position. Not much offense to speak of.

Booooo. It's pretty clear that Lacob doesn't get it... Free agents an coaches don't want to come because of a front office change. It's the talent Players in the league don't believe that they can win with Monta. We need to throw whatever it takes to get Howard here, and start fresh. This team is built to be a 8-10 seed at best, which does nothing. Its so frustrating!!!

I agree about Lacob. He has not delivered what he promised to do after taking over the franchise. So far, it has been business as Cohan after the big comments. His biggest deal was David Lee? This season, the amnesty of Bell for what turned out to be Kwame Brown could come back and haunt us. You have to be smarter than that. DeAndre Jordan nor Tyson Chandler would not have been the answer. Listen to what Jerry West said about it below. They should have focused on Chris Paul.

I do not think we have much of a shot at Howard. From what I read, he wanted to play with Monta Ellis, so we would have to keep Monta and deal others. Realistically, it would be a miracle to get Dwight. If we had gotten Chris Paul, then it would be a better situation, but still a difficult deal.

I would say this year build with the draft, so have to count on Klay Thompson making a big splash this year. I am not as sure about Udoh, so would rather deal him for a future pick. Udoh has to earn major minutes this year or he's gone. What kills me is we do not have a sure pick in 2012.

    West on DJ:
“He’s a young, active player who is probably coming into his own,” West said. “Those are the kinds of players who people are willing to take chances on in terms of paying a lot of money. At the end of the day, you have to find out what’s in store for anyone. I’m just not really sure about him.”

    West on Chandler:
“It’s obvious that they need a low-post defender to help who they have, somebody who’s big and long and takes up a lot of space. But at what price?” West said. “I would never recommend or even consider signing someone unless it was just going to be a one-year fix for you. It gives the coach another piece of the puzzle. To me, everything has to play out, and, by Wednesday, we’ll know where things are. Then, you go to Plan B.”

Lacob has totally failed at acquiring an impact player. I think he learned a lot about the league this offseason. I've heard him say before that he has to change the culture and change the perception of the Warriors around the league. He probably found that this is a harder task than he imagined.

I think we can be encouraged by some of the smaller moves hes made. Buying the Jeremy Tyler pick, paying to steal Mike Malone from LAL, buying a D-League team. These moves do indicate that he wants to give the team every advantage and he'll pay to do so. Cohan would never have done any of the above. Not sure what to say about striking out on Chandler, DJ, Paul, a trade at the deadline, etc. Either there was no opportunity there or he just lost out.

Hes still a new and inexperienced owner. He'll make more mistakes but I think he'll learn from it. Don't want to compare him to Mark Cuban but Cuban wasn't a master owner right off the bat and hes made his share of mistakes. Lacob has to learn from them though. Sadly, it could be a long time before he really figures it out. His fan-boyishness regarding David Lee is cause for alarm IMO and I don't see him changing his attitude any time soon. I really hope hes not ignoring West. Like I said, there are encouraging signs from Lacob, I just think we may be in for some more bumps in the road before he really figures it out. To add to that, its hard to see the core as currently constructed transforming into a contender unless Klay/JT end up being great prospects. This season already seems lost as I can't see anything aside from a 7th-8th seed and first round exit at best. Could be a few years of mediocrity or vying for a low playoff seed before we are forced to really blow it up and start over fresh...
