The reason I am posting all of these boxscores and recaps now is because I've had some other important obligations this week, yet I still felt there needed to be talk about the Grizzlie's winning streak.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">WASHINGTON, Feb. 4 (Ticker) -- James Posey and Earl Watson accelerated the tempo and the Washington Wizards could not keep pace.

Posey scored 11 of his season-high 31 points in the fourth quarter and teamed with Watson to fuel a huge run as the Memphis Grizzlies raced past the Wizards, 103-101. </div>

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">MEMPHIS, Tenn., Feb. 6 (Ticker) -- It has taken only 49 games for Pau Gasol and the Memphis Grizzlies to match their franchise record for wins in a season.

Gasol collected 27 points and 12 rebounds as the Grizzlies defeated the Milwaukee Bucks, 105-85, for their 28th victory, matching the best total in their nine-season history.</div>
    BoxscorelRecap

James Posey has been the Grizzlie's key player in this run. Posey scored thirty-one points and recorded four rebounds against the Wizards, then scored twenty-one points and grabbed eleven rebounds against Michael Redd and the Bucks.

Not only did this win put the Grizzlies seven games over fifty percent; it also tied the franchise record for most wins in a season. Who would have guessed that the Grizzlies would have tied their franchise record before the All-Star break?

"I would like to get 50 wins. Why not say it?" Gasol said. "But to say it and get it done are a different story. We just have to go game by game and not give away any games that we have to win. We have to stay focused and keep our feet on the floor because it's going to get tough after the All-Star Game." - Pau Gasol

    Grizzles Franchise Record

"The win was the Grizzlies' third straight and matched their 28 victories from last season -- the most in franchise history. The Bucks lost their third straight overall and sixth consecutive road game."
