Playing against the Hawks should be another easy win to build on and get some momentum back. [*]No Jamison- He re-aggrivated his injury last game and will be out atleast a week, meaning Kwame Brown will see more PT. He said the other day that he (Kwame) wouldn't be healthy all year and needed a full offseason to heal, but this is no time for him to slouch and give up. We need his rebounding and scoring, I think he will have a good game. [*]Gilbert- Our best player has been in a slump shooting the ball lately. He needs to break out of that, take smart shots. He hasn't done that lately and it has hurt the Wizards. If ATL comes out and gets going early they can keep this game close and winnable, if they don't it could be a very long game. [*]Don't Let Washington Run-A lot of Washington's success this year has come from running, and lots of it. If ATL can stop Washington from fast breaking (making shots, limit turnovers), they can keep up with Washington. [*]Force Arenas- Make him force his decisions and rush his shots. Tyronn Lue is most famous for making AI struggle in the finals years back, so he knows what it takes to make a high scoring, offensive minded guard struggle. Washington wins 105-95.
Washington with the blowout win 122-93. Everyone was firing from all cylinders. Arenas had 29, Hughes with 23, Jeffries with 14, Kwame with 13. Steve Blake off of the bench with 17, and Etan Thomas off of the wood with 15. More importantly, Arenas shot the ball very well tonight. 9-15 FG, 4-6 from 3, and 7-10 from the free throw line.
Quote:

ATLANTA (Ticker) -- The Atlanta Hawks provided the remedy for another slumping team. Gilbert Arenas led six players in double figures with 29 points and Steve Blake scored a season-high 17 off the bench as the Washington Wizards got back on track with a 122-93 rout of the Hawks, who suffered their league-worst 53rd loss. With just four wins in their previous 12 games, the Wizards entered in search of their first winning streak since capturing four in a row from February 5-11. They got off to a good start in this one, scoring 10 of the game's first 12 points and maintaining a lead throughout the first quarter.
Full Recap Box Score
WHo expected a loss? Okay, that's the end of that, Atlanta isn't as easy a team to matchup with as they seem though, they've played much better without Antione, and definately give a good fight. Apart from today, Al Harrington has been killing, and Josh Childress and Tyronn Lue had also been doing their thing. Good game for the Wizards though, time to start a little streak. Arenas played very well, so did Hughes, Kwame was able to score today, Blake had a nice game, and JJ continued his good performances with 14 points and 8 rebounds. Etan Thomas even went out and chipped in 15 points for the team today.
Kwame was 5-6, I don't know why they didn't look for him more. It also looks like he made Harrington struggle.
