They need to come out strong and stay strong throughout the entire 48 minutes of the game. [*]Stop Billups- Billups always plays some of his best ball against the Wizards. Gilbert Arenas needs to D him up and play him aggressively. When he drives the lane, we need to knock him on his butt. Our bigs need to make their presence felt in this one. [*]Jarvis, Jeffries, and Juan- Our key role players need to have good games. Jarvis especially, he needs to hit his shots, this can't be a game where is shooting is off, we need the Jarvis from the first part of last year, the one that hit everything, not the streaky one.
Detroit:
[*]Chauncey- This kid has it out for the Wizards, I swear. He plays his best ball against us everytime, if he can come out and drop 25+, and throw 7 dimes and grab some boards, that is 1/2 of what the Pistons need to win. [*]Slow the Game Down- Washington likes to play a fast-paced game, while Detroit plays a more boring, defensive game. If they can get that defensive game in play, make Washington struggle for shots and force turnovers, the Pistons can easily win this game. [*]Box Out- Washington is one of the better offensive rebounding teams in the league, Ben and Rasheed are going to have to get under their men and grab as many boards as they can, Washington is deadly when they get 2nd chances.
Prediction Washington hasn't beaten Detroit since 2001 I believe, all streaks have to end. I think Washington will come in here and get big games from Dixon and Arenas. The usual from Antawn, and another player will step up. They will steal one from the Pistons, extending their winning streak to 5 games. Washington wins...104-100.
Good game so far, Arenas is again taking it to the Pistons, he has 16 points already on 7-13 shooting. Jamison has hit some three's, but has taken a little too many long jumpers, and Billups is again having another good game vs the Wiz. Poor Rip getting smacked in the eye.. Last 5 minutes of the half were just disgusting, the Pistons outscored the Wizards 19-5 to get a 17 point lead at halftime.
yo Kobe 8 Ball, do you EVER pick against the wizards? LOL, i mean by your game predictions, the Wizards would be 82-0 or at least 80-2

Ugh, only player that showed up for us tonight...Arenas...no one should of even bothered getting on the team flight...
Quote:

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (Ticker) -- The Washington Wizards still can't find a way to stop Chauncey Billups. Billups scored 14 of his 21 points in the first half as the Detroit Pistons extended their winning streak over the Wizards to nine games with a 107-86 victory. The reigning NBA Finals MVP, Billups has saved his best for Washington this season. He scored a season-high 32 points, and hit the game-winning basket as Detroit overcame a 19-point deficit December 29, and contributed 28 and nine assists in the Pistons' 105-96 triumph February 1.
Recap Box Score

They've beaten elite teams like the Spurs, Suns, T-wolves, Sonics and the Pacers. They proven more likely to defeat any NBA team out there today with alongside Larry Hughes back in the lineup.

They have to lose eventually Ming. Elite victories are very important but, we can never predict a flawless season. As Da_Future_2K5 pointed out to us, if that were the case, then the Wizards would be 82-0 and as much as the Wizards have improved, it isn't by that much!
